Check out the exciting actions at the end of this e-mail!

Some members of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus are reportedly willing to withhold their votes on “must-pass” spending bills—risking a government shutdown—unless Congress can pass a “clean” DACA renewal bill, without Trump’s toxic list of conditions.  These conditions include support for his border wall, sanctions against sanctuary cities and states, and mandating that employers use the error-prone “e-verify” program.

Ultra-conservatives in Congress routinely vote against spending and debt-ceiling bills; Democratic votes are always needed to pass them.  This gives Democrats like our members of Congress extraordinary leverage, but only if they have the courage to use it! Tell our Senators and Representatives you want them to be prepared to go to the wall for Dreamers.

Action:  Ask our Members of Congress to be ready to go all the way for Dreamers

Rep. Adam Smith: 425-793-5180

Rep. Pramila Jayapal: 206-674-0040

Sen. Patty Murray: 206-553-5545

Sen. Maria Cantwell: 206-220-6400

“Hello, my name is [name], and I’m calling from [ZIP]. If the administration insists on tying its anti-immigrant “principles” to DACA renewal legislation I want [NAME] to stand with the members of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus who areprepared to withhold their votes from crucial spending and debt bills.”
