ACTION:  Demand immediate legislation to stabilize the insurance market.

In recent days President Trump used executive orders to cancel ACA cost-sharing subsidies, and to allow cheaper, non-inclusive health plans in the health insurance marketplace.  This has thrown uncertainty back into the ACA's health insurance market, and it permits health insurers to increase health care costs for the American people.

Sen. Patty Murray: 202-224-2621 / 206-553-5545
Sen. Maria Cantwell: 202-224-3441 / 206-220-6400
Rep. Adam Smith: 425-793-5180
Rep. Pramila Jayapal: 206-674-0040

“Hello, my name is [NAME] and my zip code is [ZIP].  I am absolutely outraged that President Trump can go against the decision of the Congress and the will of the American people to cut critical ACA subsidies and gut the ACA’s all-inclusive coverage in his recent executive orders.  I am calling today to urge you, as my lawmaker, to pass legislation immediately that would stabilize the insurance market.  Congress needs to protect the American people by supporting affordable health insurance through responsible legislation.  Thank you for taking my call today.”
