Action: Submit a comment opposed to drilling in the Arctic

The Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources is considering legislation to open up a sensitive part of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, the "1002 Area" or Coastal Plain, as a way to fund the GOP's massive tax cuts for the rich. Our senator and this committee's ranking member, Maria Cantwell, has been pushing back, but she needs your help -- the entire committee needs to hear this from the public.

The deadline to submit comments on the hearing, which happened on November 2, is this Wednesday. Submit your comment today. Instructions below:

Send a brief email OPPOSING the ANWR provision to open the ANWR to oil/gas leases for extraction : fortherecord@energy.senate.gov

Address your statement to: “Chairman Murkowski, Ranking Member Cantwell, and Members of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee.” Send a copy to annie_hoefler@energy.senate.gov.

At the top of your comments, please reference: For Record of November 2, 2017 Hearing
