Get Congress to renew health insurance program funding for low-income children!

The Federal Children’s Health Insurance Program, CHIP, provides health insurance for nine million children in low-income families.  States administer the program, but funding has not been renewed by Congress.  Funding for for another program, the Community Health Centers Fund, CHCF, has also not been renewed; this funds community health services regardless of ability to pay.  If Congress does not renew funding by Dec. 22nd the year will start without needed funds. Twelve state governors have signed a bipartisan letter to Congress urging renewal of funding.

ACTION:  Email Governor Inslee and ask him to sign on to the letter

BONUS ACTION:  Call our Senators and leave voicemail urging them to get Congress to renew funding for CHID and CHCF (be sure to leave your full street address so your opinion will be counted)
