Action 1:  Express your outrage at FBI Directory Comey’s firing.

Stay mad!  Tell your lawmakers (AGAIN) you want answers to questions about the Russian government’s meddling in U.S. elections.  We have asked you to demand answers on this topic for three days, and it’s working.  Take a look at Patty Murray’s Senate floor speech yesterday on Comey’s dismissal:

“… As of noon today, my office had been flooded with hundreds of calls. The phones are ringing off the hook. On the other end of the line are the people we represent. They are picking up the phone and trying to get through to every one of us in the Senate. They want answers – and they deserve them. So M. President, let’s get to the bottom of this for once and for all—for the people we represent, and for the integrity of our elections and our very democracy.”

Today, we’re asking you:  be that caller AGAIN!  Tell your lawmakers you want answers. This is where we hold the line – at firing a law enforcement official for investigating the illegal criminal actions of his boss.  Trump expects us to calm down.  Let's stay mad!

"Hi, my name is {NAME} and I'm a constituent from {CITY, ZIP}. I'm calling to express my outrage over the firing of FBI Director Comey.  I am really angry at this misuse of presidential power.  I would like to urge the Senator to hold the administration accountable, and to continue to call for answers on the influence of the Russian government on U.S. politics."

Action 2:  Learn how the “Tea Party” strategy resulted in Trump’s presidential win.

GOP activists started a strategy nine years ago to take control of the U.S. House and Senate by focusing on state races.  States determine who votes and how districts are assigned.  This has resulted in a GOP-dominated legislative and executive landscape.

The numbers?  71 of 100 state legislative bodies and 33 of 50 governors are GOP-controlled.  This has resulted in a Trump presidency, and GOP control of both the U.S. House and Senate, making it easy to push through legislation when lawmakers vote along party lines.

In preparation for elections in 2018, take a few minutes to review the strategy used by GOP activists, and what can be done to address this injustice (click on the link below).  Remember, the entire U.S. House is elected EVERY two years, along with 1/3 of the U.S. Senate.  In 2018, besides the U.S. House and Senate, nearly 6,000 state legislative seats will also be up for election.

Let's be prepared!

Last week was the 100-days milestone for Trump’s administration.  Several times so far Trump has been pushed back or defeated in his agenda.  Way to go Resisters!  We have hope!  We will persevere!  We are in it for the long haul!
