Trumpcare. Do Not underestimate Mitch McConnell.

There are currently five GOP Senators who are openly opposed to Trumpcare. That said, four of the five are against the bill because it doesn’t fully repeal the Affordable Care Act. McConnell is dangerously competent and not to be underestimated. Thousands of lives depend on what we all do right now.

The fifth, Senator Heller of Nevada, is up for re-election in 2018 and to his credit has spoken out forcefully about the many problems with the bill. Heller even went as far as calling it a "lie" that the Senate Republican health care bill would lower premiums.

Action:

Time to reach out to friends and family yet again!

Lean on the GOP senators who are up for re-election in 2018 by letting them know that there is no such thing as a “safe” seat!

The GOP only needs to defend eight seats in 2018. We need to guarantee three NO votes to finish off this monstrosity of a bill. Please contact everyone you know in the following states and make sure they tell their senator that this is a deal breaker. They need to feel the heat from their constituents, so work the phones and send some emails.

Arizona: Jeff Flake

Mississippi: Roger Wicker

Nebraska: Deb Fisher

Tennessee: Bob Corker

Texas: Ted Cruz

Utah: Orin Hatch

Wyoming: John Barrasso

The script to pass along on this one is simple:

“If you vote yes on Trumpcare, I will vote no on you in 2018.”

Also, please make sure to let your friends and relatives in Nevada know to thank Senator Heller.

Extra Credit:

Lean on the rest of the GOP senate!

The link below will provide you with information on each senator’s position. This really is “all hands on deck!” so if you know anyone in any state with a republican senator please get in touch with them.
