"Hi, my name is [NAME], and I'm calling from [PLACE, ZIP]. Please block any bills that would result in privatization of our infrastructure."

Background:

The president has sent Congress a proposal that would privatize and modernize our air traffic control system. While modernization is a worthwhile goal, the government should not relinquish control to a private company seeking a profit, raising prices for the rest of us.

Here's a good explainer on why this is bad for your wallet:

Fortunately, the representative from our neighboring district, Rick Larsen (WA-02) has spoken up against this. We need our representatives to join him.

More to come:

We expect more details about the privatization scheme for our nation's infrastructure in the coming days. In addition to air traffic control, the president's budget also divests the government from the Bonneville Power Administration. This new-deal era project is financially self sustaining and has provided cheap, clean electricity to the Pacific Northwest for the past 80 years. We should keep it that way, and not turn it over to a profit seeking corporation.
