We Just Keep Winning!

It’s been a whirlwind – Trumpcare died, then McConnell said he would rush a vote on repealing Obamacare with no replacement at all. Fortunately for America, at least three Republican Senators denounced that move yesterday, giving it almost no chance of succeeding. So, everyone – we’ve killed Trumpcare (at least in its current form). We did that, and we should feel proud! But there are still avenues open to Republicans to destroy Obamacare, so we can’t relax yet.

Action 1: Thank 3 Republicans (AK, WV, ME) for Refusing Repeal

Sen. Lisa Murkowski of AK, Sen. Shelley Moore Capito of WV, and Sen. Susan Collins of ME all spoke out yesterday against the repeal of Obamacare with no replacement. Thanks to them, McConnell’s Plan C looks like a nonstarter. However, repeal may still be brought to a vote, and minds can be changed in the interim.  Ask your friends in AK, WV, and ME to call their Senators again (or call them yourself), this time with a thank you to reinforce their decision and encourage future principled stands!

Sen. Lisa Murkowski (AK): 202-224-6665

Sen. Shelley Moore Capito (WV): 202-224-6472

Sen. Susan Collins (ME): 202-224-2523

Script:

“My name is [Name] and I’m calling from [zip] to thank you for doing the right thing and quickly and publicly denouncing McConnell’s plan to repeal Obamacare without a replacement. Thank you for caring enough about your constituents to vote NO on repeal if it comes to a vote, despite party pressure.”
