Background

In about two years, American soldiers will be sent to fight in Afghanistan who were born *after* September 11th. It's the longest running war in American history. This week Trump announced his intention to increase American troops, promising to keep American soldiers fighting in Afghanistan indefinitely.

Our constitution says Congress has the power to declare war, and we need to take this power back out of the hands of a commander in chief who is unfit to serve. A bill to repeal the 2001 Authorization to Use Military Force in Afghanistan has received bipartisan support. Let's make sure our representatives are committed to moving this bill forward.
