It’s time for Medicare for All

Don’t forget to fill out our call log so that we can track our progress:

Action: Call your representatives to protect the ACA and support Medicare for All

The Graham-Cassidy-Heller-Johnson bill, introduced today, would block-grant the Medicaid expansion, repeal many of the ACA’s regulations, and devolve power to the states. We know this last-ditch repeal attempt will mean less protections and less healthcare for millions of Americans. We must stop this bill before it comes to the floor- it only needs a simple majority to pass before the end of this month.

At the same time, we need to go on the offensive and set the bar higher for what Democrats are offering on healthcare. The newly introduced single-payer Medicare-for-All bill includes sponsors such as Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, Corey Booker, and Kirsten Gillibrand. We need our own representatives to sign on and stand up for the right of every American to be insured.

Patty Murray: (202) 224-2621 or (206) 553-5545
Maria Cantwell: (202) 224-3441 or (206) 220-6400

SCRIPT (for Murray and Cantwell): My name is [NAME] and I’m calling from [CITY]. We need bold healthcare policy to make healthcare a human right in America. Please do everything you can to stop the Graham-Cassidy-Heller-Johnson repeal bill, and sign on to the Medicare for All bill introduced in the Senate yesterday.
