Last week, we asked you to to call our representatives to call to open an investigation as to whether Brett Kavanaugh has committed perjury, and if he should keep his job as a judge on the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals. Thankfully, Congresswoman Jayapal has followed through and joined her colleagues on the House Judiciary Committee in calling for an investigation.
Action: Thank Congresswoman Jayapal for her call to investigate Brett Kavanaugh
Rep. Pramila Jayapal: DC (202) 225-3106; Seattle (206) 674-0040
"Hello, I'm [name] from [city, zip]. I'm calling to thank Congresswoman Jayapal for joining her colleagues on the Judiciary Comittee in their call to investigate if Brett Kavanaugh committed perjury in his testimony to the Senate Judiciary Committee."
Although Rep. Smith does not sit on the House Judiciary Committee, he can still use his voice as a US Representative to support this investigation.

"Hi, my name is [NAME] and I'm a constituent from [CITY, ZIP]. In light of Dr. Ford's testimony last week, and the other women accusing Judge Kavanaugh of assault, please release a public statement in support of the members of the House Judiciary Committee who have called for investigations into whether Kavanaugh should keep his current job on the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals."
TODAY, Tuesday, October 2: Resist Trump Tuesday
Join us this Tuesday when we welcome former State Representative Jesse Wineberry to explain I-1000; the state initiative that seeks to bring back affirmative action in this state. Jesse Wineberry will explain how current law makes it difficult to recruit, hire or promote applicants who are under-represented and how I-1000 would change that.
We will also welcome a speaker from Families For Families to speak on the Trump administration's new policy of indefinite detention of immigrant children, and how the administration's threat of no green card if you're a "public charge" has immigrant families fearfully avoiding needed public services.
We rally every Tuesday from 11:45AM-12:30PM, followed by our standing meeting with Senator Murray's and Senator Cantwell's staff from 12:30-1:30PM. Please join us -- we need your voice!
