Fight Climate Change

This week global leaders re-stated their commitment to address climate change – without Trump – through the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change report. Rising seas threaten Arctic populations of polar bears and other wildlife; super-hurricanes flatten parts of the U.S. Gulf Coast and Eastern Seaboard, as well as Puerto Rico; Antarctic glaciers are melting at record-setting rates. Yet Donald Trump continues to attack support for addressing climate change, and his administration continues to promote depletion of planetary coal and fossil fuel resources through the EPA and other agencies.

This month the U.N. report on climate change predicts a global crisis as early as 2050 if we don’t change what’s happening. It’s time to stop this plunge into global disaster. Our existence is at stake.

What can one person do? First of all, VOTE. Tell our lawmakers we will not stand for our living systems to be demolished by short-sighted human greed.

Second, thank Governor Jay Inslee for his actions to combat climate change, and ask Governor Inslee to encourage other states’ governors to join the United States Climate Alliance, to address this very important issue.

ACTION: Tell Governor Inslee to fight climate change
