Thank You

Thank you to everyone who marched in or volunteered for the March for Our Lives yesterday. Some estimates show that 50,000 people marched here in Seattle, and over a million people marched in DC. We've made a clear statement that the status quo in both Washington DC and this Washington is unacceptable, and our lawmakers need to start passing much needed but stalled gun safety bills.

Thank you to everyone who donated yesterday to the Islamic Center of Eastside, whose mosque burned earlier this week for the second time in two years. While police are still investigating the cause, we know that the Muslim community here has seen a rise in attacks and hate crimes in this political environment. If you haven't been able to donate, please do at

Events This Week:

TUESDAY: Resist Trump Tuesday continues on Tuesday, March 27 at 11:45 a.m. outside the Henry M. Jackson Federal Building, followed by a meeting with our Senators’ Staffers!

TUESDAY: NEW LOCATION: Seattle Indivisible Weekly Meeting
7-9 PM, Washington State Labor Council, 321 16th Ave S, Seattle, WA 98144

Greetings, Indivisibles!

It’s true:  our country is in chaos, and we never know from day to day or week to week just how much worse things are getting.  With the appointment of chickenhawk John Bolton to head the NSA, the threat of preemptive nuclear with North Korea just became much more real.

Meanwhile, Trump continues to struggle with the exodus of all the reasonable adults from his “team”, the Russia investigation, a potential trade war, and lawsuits from a growing host of women charging him with adultery and sexual misconduct.

You are not alone if you are feeling overwhelmed, angry, or afraid.  Or all of the above.

One of the best cures for “Trumpophobia” is to gather with like-minded citizen activists, and organize to fight back.  It is EXACTLY this kind of grassroots collaboration that has already enabled us to flip critical seats in Congress from red to blue, giving us a real chance of taking back OUR House in this November’s midterm elections.

Come join us this Tuesday from 7-9pm at the WASHINGTON STATE LABOR COUNCIL (321 16TH AVE S, Seattle, WA 98144) as we plan our next steps.  Please note this is a change from our previous meeting location at Woodland Park United Methodist Church.  This is the new location for all our weekly meetings, and should be much more convenient for folks south of the ship canal.

On the Agenda this week:

1. Debrief from the March for Our Lives and next steps for gun safety legislation
2. Canvassing to the 8th CD to flip Reichert’s seat in the House from red to blue
3. Organizing to block Senate confirmations of Gina Haspel and Mike Pompeo as CIA Director and Sec of State.
4. Blocking passage of the Bank Lobbyist Act, which would put tax payers on the hook again for the next bailout of Big Banks.
5. I-1631 Petitioning for Clean Air, Clean Energy.

Whether you are a seasoned activist or a complete newbie, ALL are welcome to join us as we work together for the democracy we deserve.

We are Indivisible.  And we are growing…..
