With our all-mail-in ballot system, Washington State is a leader in expanding voting rights and making it easier for people to vote. Our legislature has recently passed several bills to make voting even easier in our state. However, the need to put a stamp on each ballot has always been a barrier for some people, whether that's because they don't have stamps on hand, or not because they can't afford the postage.
King County Executive Dow Constatine has made a request to the County Council to fund prepaid postage for ballots in our county. Let's give our councilmembers a call and let them know we want this.
ACTION: Ask King County Council to approve prepaid postage for ballots
