Block Trump’s Swamp Monsters!

When the Senate gets back to work today, one of its top priorities will be the confirmation of Gina Haspel as CIA Director and Mike Pompeo as Secretary of State.

Oppose Pompeo and Haspel!

ACT for America is listed as an anti-Muslim hate group according to the Southern Poverty Law Center.  In 2016, Pompeo won ACT’s ‘highest honor,’ the National Security Eagle Award.  Pompeo said all Muslims are 'potentially complicit' in terrorism.

There is a lot we don’t know about Gina Haspel, the nominee to head the CIA. We know a few things for sure. Haspel was involved in some capacity in the Bush era torture program. She was, from 2003–2005, the chief of staff for Jose Rodriguez, the man tasked with implementing the Bush-Cheney program for “enhanced interrogation” of prisoners.

Trump isn’t merely tolerating torture. He’s celebrating it with her pick to head the CIA.

Gina Haspel is unfit to lead the CIA.
Mike Pompeo is unfit to be secretary of state.

Action: Oppose Pompeo and Haspel!

Don’t forget to fill out our call log so that we can track our impact:

Sen. Patty Murray: (202) 224-2621, (206) 553-5545

Sen. Maria Cantwell: (202) 224-3441, (206) 220-6400

Sample Script:

“Hello, I’m [name] from [city, zip.] I’d like to call on Senator [name] to oppose the appointments of Gina Haspel to CIA Director and Mike Pompeo to Secretary of State. Both candidates are too supportive of torture, and Mike Pompeo’s anti-Mulim record threatens our national security. Both appointments threaten human rights globally.”
