The nation is watching: two weeks left to pass a Washington carbon fee

Official action for Tuesday, June 19

We have our regular Resist Trump Tuesday rally and weekly meeting today. You can find more details at the end of this message. We hope to see you there!

Time is running out to collect signatures for I-1631--an initiative that, if passed, will be the first carbon tax or carbon fee in American history. I-1631 encourages businesses to find clean energy solutions by putting a per-ton fee on carbon emissions, and the funds raised will be invested in climate solutions. The nation is watching--let’s make sure this initiative gets the signatures it needs to make the ballot.

If you have any signatures, the deadline to turn them in is
June 27, by mail
June 30, in person at the I-1631 office (4347 Roosevelt Way NE, Seattle, WA 98105)
