Still Time Left: Phonebank for CA

Our action from yesterday is still relevant, so please make calls if you havent!

The primary elections in California are this Tuesday, June 5 – and there are three districts where this could be disastrous for Democrats. That means we have three days to get out the vote to make sure we don’t lose three House seats before the midterms even start.

In California, Democrats and Republicans run in the same primary, with the top two candidates advancing to the general election regardless of their party. In CA-39, CA-48, and CA-49, there’s a big risk that two Republicans will advance through the primary, leaving Democrats with no chance at the House seat in November.

Action: Phonebank for CA primaries

Start making calls to contact progressive voters in California and get them to the polls. From Swingleft: “Studies show the four days leading up to an election are the best time to contact voters. These California races could be won or lost by just a few dozen votes—your help will make a real difference. After you sign up, we’ll be in touch with more instructions about who you’re calling, what to say, and what you need to know about our phonebanking system.”

Resist Trump Tuesday this week

Tuesday, June 5 11:45am, 915 Second Ave, Seattle
Join us at this Tuesday's Resist Trump Tuesday rally where we will be joined by the Downtown Peace Vigil. Come hear Dan Gillman, President of Vets4Peace: Local Chapter 92 who will speak on the federal budget, cutting military spending, and the threat of privatizing the VA.

We are also proud to welcome speaker Lilly Addams from Physicians for Social Responsibility, which has been working for more than 50 years to create a healthy, just and peaceful world for present and future generations. PSR is the U.S. affiliate of International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War, a non-partisan federation of national medical groups in 64 countries that share the common goal of creating a more peaceful and secure world freed from the threat of nuclear annihilation.

Immediately following our rally, we will meet with Sen. Murray's and Sen. Cantwell’s staff from 12:30-1:30PM. Lilly Addams will be joining our meeting to ask our Senators to co-sponsor legislation to eliminate first strike nuclear capability as well as banning "low yield" nukes.

Join us every Tuesday for Seattle Indivisible’s Resist Trump Tuesday rally followed by our weekly meeting with Senate staff. All are welcome. We need your voice, your passion and your amazing energy.

We are Indivisible, and We Will Persist.

Weekly Meeting this Tuesday

ALL are invited to join us as neighbors and concerned citizens to fight back against unjust political policies based on exclusion, inequality, hate, lies, and fear.

We oppose the Trump/GOP agenda and we support policies that promote inclusion, fairness, truth, and respect for all.

Our goal is to unite ALL Americans regardless of party affiliation behind principles that transcend party politics. And we are committed to holding ALL elected officials accountable for failing to uphold justice for all.

We are Indivisible.
