Official Action for Saturday, September 15
This weekend, join your fellow activists in getting out the vote for the critical race between Kim Schrier and Dino Rossi in Washington’s 8th Congressional District. Find an event near you at
Until there is resolution on Brett Kavanaugh, we are doing a marathon of calls and actions to stop his appointment to the Supreme Court. This is an emergency, not just because it will tip the Supreme Court conservative for a generation, but also because a man who faces legal troubles (Trump) is about to be allowed to appoint his own judge.
Senate Democrats gained a minor victory by delaying the committee vote on Judge Kavanaugh until next week. This gives us extra time to fight, but Democrats must speak out loudly about Kavanaugh’s sketchy past and the lies he may have told to the Judiciary committee.
It’s the weekend, so your call will go to voicemail, but it will send a message to our senators about the urgency of stopping Kavanaugh,
Sen. Patty Murray: (202) 224-2621, (206) 553-5545
Sen. Maria Cantwell: (202) 224-3441, (206) 220-6400
“Hi, my name is [NAME], from [CITY]. I’d like to ask the Senator continue to speak out against the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court. Please call attention to allegations that Kavanaugh lied under oath about stolen Democratic emails, and call for further investigation into this matter.”
