Everything you need to know about 2019 Seattle Womxn'S March Events Jan. 19-21
Details are now available online for the Womxn's March events organized by Seattle Womxn Marching Forward in collaboration with MLK Day organizers for a 3-Day weekend of action Jan. 19-21. https://www.seattlewomxnmarchingforward.org/anniv-2019/.
Saturday is the main rally and Womxn's March from Cal Anderson to Seattle Center followed by a dozen or more choices of exciting and diverse programming at Seattle Center. Sunday there will be deeper dive trainings, workshops and programming at 5 neighborhood Hubs throughout Seattle. The Food Lifeline Food Drive Seattle Indivisible is committed to staffing is on Sunday at each Hub location--last year we collected one ton of food and this year we're trying to double that! Then Monday there is a full day of MLK events at Garfield High School.
We are currently working with other regional Indivisible groups to have Indivisibles from around the region march together at the Womxn's March on Saturday, Jan. 19th (stay tuned, but we're tentatively talking about meeting at Cal Anderson at 8:30AM at the Seattle Indivisible banner--the rally begins at 9AM).
Finally, Seattle Indivisible is a co-sponsor of this event weekend and we still need 15 more Indivisible volunteers to staff the Food Drive at Hub locations around the city on Sunday, Jan. 20th (specific locations listed online at the above link and below sign-up link). This all happens in just 2 weeks and we really need your help to pull this off. Please sign up here if you can help with the food drive: https://goo.gl/forms/aELMJmuAhKusrUZh2.
