Investigate Family Separation Policy

Heads Up: We are expecting more ice and snow in the coming days, so be sure to plan ahead for the Feb. 12 election, and get your ballot in early if possible! You can leave it in a drop box or mail it with no postage needed!

On Tuesday, the House Judiciary Committee announced an oversight hearing on the family separation policy of the Trump administration. Although family separation has not been at the top of the news lately, the crisis is ongoing – last month federal inspectors reported that over a hundred children had been separated from their families after the court ordered family separations to cease. What is more, the administration has said that they will likely be unable to reunite all the families that have been separated. The judiciary hearing will aim to hold the administration accountable for the ongoing family separation crisis. The hearing will be held on February 12.

Rep. Pramila Jayapal is on the Judiciary Committee – let’s call her and say thanks. Let's also call Adam Smith to tell him to support the hearing and do whatever he can to continue to call attention to the inhumane actions of the Trump administration at the border.
