Don't Water Down the Dream and Promise Act

We've already asked you to call your Congressperson about H.R. 6, the Dream and Promise Act, which would provide relief to Dreamers, TPS holders, and DED holders. We have concerns that the bill will be weakened, though.

Per Indivisible National:

The House Judiciary has scheduled a "markup" of the Dream and Promise Act (H.R. 6) for May 8, where they will make substantive changes to the bill. There is a real risk that the Committee will severely weaken the bill by narrowing the eligibility rules. If they do so, it would mean fewer Dreamers and TPS holders getting the permanent relief they deserve.

Action: Ask your Congressperson to pass a strong Dream and Promise Act

Rep. Pramila Jayapal: DC - 202-225-3106; Seattle - 206-674-0040

Rep. Adam Smith: DC - 202-225-8901; Renton - 425-793-5180

Script:

Hi, my name is [NAME] and I’m calling from [CITY, ZIP]. I’m calling to ask Congressperson [NAME] to reject any amendments or motions to recommit on H.R. 6, the Dream and Promise Act, that would weaken it.
