Begin Impeachment Inquiry Now

Official Daily Action for Wednesday June 12, 2019

This week the House began its investigation based on the Mueller Report, with testimony by John Dean, former White House Council to Richard Nixon. The testimony did not get the coverage that is needed to break through and show the public the extent of the crimes committed by the President and his campaign. It's not even on the front pages of the Washington Post or New York Times.

The slow investigation might have seemed like a good compromise step, but it is not working. We need an impeachment inquiry in order to get the information from the Mueller Report into the living rooms and the minds of the American public.

There is more than enough evidence in the Mueller Report to start an Impeachment Inquiry. It's time to move. Tell your Rep you want them to get this going.

  • Rep. Pramila Jayapal--DC 202-225-3106; Seattle 206-674-0040

  • Rep. Adam Smith--DC 202-225-8901; Renton 425-793-5180

Script for Jayapal

"Hello, I’m [name] from [city, zip]. I'm calling to thank Rep. Jayapal for her continued calls for beginning impeachment hearings against President Trump. President Trump and his campaign welcomed help from a hostile foreign power, and tried to obstruct investigations into their actions. Yesterday's hearings didn't draw enough attention to this. We need an impeachment inquiry to get the attention of the public. It is the Constitutional duty of Congress to conduct oversight of the Executive Branch. Please do everything you can to convince your colleagues and Speaker Pelosi to begin an impeachment inquiry."

Script for Smith

"Hello, I’m [name] from [city, zip]. I'm calling to ask Rep. Smith to join Rep. Jayapal in her call to begin an impeachment inquiry against President Trump.
