Only one week left to vote.

The last day to vote in the 2019 primary elections is in one week, Tuesday, August 6. We will be voting on a wide range of candidates, for positions that include City Council, County Council, Port Commissioner, and School Board, as well as a few municipal and county initiatives. If you have not already voted, please take some time over the next few days to fill out your ballot and return it. Remember, postage for ballots is now FREE.

If you’re looking for more information on candidate choices from a progressive perspective, our friends at Fuse Washington have put together their Progressive Voters Guide for this election. You can find it at https://progressivevotersguide.com/.

If you never received your ballot, or your ballot is damaged or lost, you can request a replacement at https://www.kingcounty.gov/depts/elections/how-to-vote/ballots/replacing-a-ballot-or-envelope.aspx.

Good News

This weekend, Representatives Kim Schrier, Denny Heck, Suzan DelBene, and Derek Kilmer joined their colleagues Pramila Jayapal, Adam Smith, and Rick Larsen in calling for an impeachment inquiry. Now EVERY Democrat in the Washington State Congressional Delegation has called for an impeachment inquiry, with only the three Republicans -- Jaime Herrera Beutler, Cathy McMorris Rodgers, and Dan Newhouse -- continuing to defend the crimes of the current occupant of the oval office. Additionally, even though impeachment starts in the House, Senator Patty Murray has also joined the call for an impeachment inquiry.
