Thank AG Ferguson for Suing to Protect Immigrants

Washington State Attorney General Bob Ferguson joined a lawsuit this week along with AGs from 12 other states to put a stop to Trump's cruel revised public charge rule. This rule, which goes into effect in October, would deny green cards to immigrants if they are "likely" to use a wide array of public assistance programs. Here's what our Attorney General had to say about the rule change:

“It forces families into an impossible choice — to sacrifice their dream of becoming Americans in order to provide health care, food or a roof over their children’s heads, or let their families go without in order to remain in the country. This rule is un-American, anti-immigrant and unlawful.”

In his legal complaint, Ferguson explicitly cites the administration's failure to address the concerns expressed in the over 260,000 public comments left on the rule - so THANK YOU to everyone who left a comment on the proposed rule last year when we asked you to do so!

Let's thank Bob Ferguson today for standing up for Washington's immigrant community, and for continuing to be aggressive in fighting the Trump Administration. You can email him here:
