Recommend Censure of President Trump

Today’s Action: Email Members of Congress to Censure President Trump for Encouraging Israel to Deny Entry to Reps. Tlaib and Omar

This week, President Trump pressured Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to bar two members of Congress from entering Israel for an official visit. For today's Daily Action, we are encouraging everyone to write to your Representatives and Senators to ask for a Motion to Censure President Trump for enlisting a foreign country against his political rivals.

EMAIL SAMPLE:

Dear [Formal Title],

I am writing you today to urge you to put forward and/or support a measure to censure President Donald J. Trump for encouraging a foreign country to deny access to his political rivals. President Trump's actions in regards to Israel denying entry to Reps. Omar and Tlaib is unbefitting the office of the President and goes against every tenant of democracy and freedom for which the United States stands.

Please ensure that a rebuke of this breach of solidarity on foreign soil and collusion with a foreign country against duly elected officials of the United States of America abroad is logged in history. Please help my voice be heard that President Trump's actions were not sanctioned by the people and are not supported by the people.

Thank you,
