Official Daily Action for Wednesday August 28, 2019
President Trump is, once again, acting in a dangerous, illegal and unfit way to try to push through construction of his racist wall before the 2020 election. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is attempting to take money from disaster relief to fund the wall that Congress has refused to fund. Trump is pushing to have agencies ignore property rights and environmental impact. He has reportedly told government officials who have balked at the illegal orders that he will pardon them!
We're closing in on the end of Impeachment August. When congress comes back in September, it's time for them to hold him accountable for this and his other illegal and unfit actions by launching an official impeachment inquiry.

SCRIPT for Jayapal and Smith
"Hello, I’m [name] from [city, zip]. It is time to launch an official impeachment inquiry against President Trump. Yesterday, DHS tried to get around congress by taking money from disaster relief funds to fund the wall that Congress refused to fund. He has directed federal officials to break laws relating to property rights and environmental impact along the border, and promised to pardon officials for breaking those laws. He is unfit and is in violation of his oath of office. It is time to make it official and launch an impeachment inquiry."
SCRIPT for Cantwell and Murray:
"Hello, I’m [name] from [city, zip]. I'm calling because I am alarmed at President Trump's actions yesterday to steal money from disaster relief and redirect it to his racist wall. He even offered to pardon federal officials who break property and environmental laws to get his wall built. President Trump is unfit for office. I would like [Senator] to do everything she can to block Trump's wall, and to convince her colleagues in the House to begin an official impeachment inquiry."

"Our training will be followed by hands-on experience making calls in support of our two Virginia legislature candidates Debra Rodman and Josh Cole. This event will jump-start phonebanking in and around Seattle for the final weeks of the campaign."
