Impeach Brett Kavanaugh

NOTE: Our regular Tuesday meeting is cancelled for today. Our next meeting will be Tuesday, October 1 at 7pm. In the meantime, please try to attend some of the events below.

Today's action comes directly from Invisible National, our national umbrella organization keeping an eye on the big picture.

Per Indivisible National:

Demand your member of Congress call for Brett Kavanaugh’s impeachment

In October 2018, Brett Kavanaugh’s lifetime appointment to the Supreme Court of the United States was hustled through the U.S. Senate in one of the most corrupt confirmation processes in history. Despite numerous credible sexual assault and harassment allegations made against him, by Christine Blasey Ford and other women, Kavanaugh was confirmed hastily and without a full investigation. This was appalling, abhorrent, and unacceptable -- and still is.

Recently, new reporting has corroborated accounts of some of the worst allegations against Kavanaugh, who should never have been confirmed in the first place. Make no mistake: Brett Kavanaugh is unfit to serve on our nation’s highest court. Period. And this new evidence is an important moment for us to make sure our elected officials know that it’s not too late to take action.

Call your member of Congress (MoC) and urge them to publicly call for Kavanaugh’s impeachment.

Congress has the power to impeach not only the president, but a Supreme Court Justice. Time to use it.

Action: Demand Brett Kavanaugh's impeachment

Rep. Pramila Jayapal: DC - 202-225-3106 Seattle - 206-674-0040

Rep. Adam Smith: DC - 202-225-8901 Renton - 425-793-5180

Senator Patty Murray: DC - 202-224-2621 Seattle - 206-553-5545

Senator Maria Cantwell: DC - 202-224-3441 Seattle - 206-220-6400

Script (per Indivisible National):

"Hello, my name is [YOUR NAME] and I am from [CITY/STATE]. I'm calling Representative/Senator [NAME] to urge them to publicly support impeachment proceedings against Justice Brett Kavanaugh immediately. While Kavanaugh should never have been confirmed, recently corroborated allegations against Kavanaugh further demonstrate that he is unfit to serve on the Supreme Court."
